چکیده: 

A new lead coordination polymer [Pb (aip)]n (H2aip=5-aminoisophthalic acid) was synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental and X-ray single-crystal analyses. X-ray crystallographic study of this complex revealed that H2aip ligand adopts a new coordination mode different from any reported modes in the title complex. The thermogravimetric experiment was carried out to examine the thermal stability, and the photoluminescence property of the title complex was investigated.

THE CRYSTAL ENGINEERING OF COORDINATION POLYMERS AND METALLO-SUPRAMOLECULAR ARCHITECTURES HAS BEEN STUDIED EXTENSIVELY DUE TO THEIR STRUCTURAL VERSATILITY, UNIQUE PROPERTIES, AND APPLICATIONS IN DIFFERENT AREAS OF SCIENCE, SUCH AS MATERIALS AND NANOTECHNOLOGY [1]. SINCE THE ROLE OF THE ANION HAS EMERGED AS AN IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION IN ENGINEERING NEW SUPRAMOLECULAR MATERIALS [2-3], WE TURNED OUR ATTENTION TO THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT ANIONS ON THE STRUCTURAL MOTIFS OF CADMIUM (II) COORDINATION POLYMERS IN THE SELF-ASSEMBLY PROCESS WITH BRIDGING PYRIDINE SCHIFF-BASE LIGAND (L). IN THIS REGARD, THREE COORDINATION COMPOUNDS [CD(M-L)(M-I)2]N (1), [CD(M-L)( M-SCN)2]N (2), [CD(M-L)( M-OAC)(OAC). CH3OH]N (3) WERE OBTAINED FROM RELATED CADMIUM(II) SALTS AND PYRIDINE SCHIFF-BASE LIGAND (L) (FIG. 1). THESE COMPLEXES HAVE BEEN CHARACTERIZED BY SPECTROSCOPIC METHODS AS WELL AS X-RAY STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS. IN THE CASE OF IODIDE AND THIOCYANATE ANIONS, 2D RHOMBIC (1) AND RECTANGULAR GRID (2) STRUCTURAL MOTIFS WERE CONSTRUCTED, RESPECTIVELY. WHEN WE USE ACETATE ANION, 1D LADDER STRUCTURAL MOTIF WAS OBTAINED (3).

CuO nano particles were obtained by calcination of nano-sized [Cu(C4H4O4)(bipy)(H2O)2]. 2H2O (1) and [Cu(2‚ 2′-bipy)](C4H4O4)0. 5(NO3)(H2O) (2) which are two Cu(II) coordination polymers. The two coordination polymers [Cu(C4H4O4)(bipy)(H2O)2]. 2H2O and [Cu(2‚ 2′-bipy)](C4H4O4)0. 5(NO3)(H2O) were synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectra (FT-IR spectroscopy), thermal gravimetric (TGA) and differential thermal analyses (DTA). CuO nano particles were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The two coordination polymers obtained possessed nano sizes.

Two new nano-sized lead(II) and mercury(II) coordination polymers, [Pb(2-bpdh)(NO3)2(H2O)]n(1); (2-bpdh=2,5-bis(2-pyridyl)-3,4-diaza-2,4-hexadiene)} and [Hg(4-bpdb)(SCN)2]n (2); (4-bpdb= 1,4-bis(4-pyridyl)-3,4-diaza-1,3-butadiene) were synthesized by a sonochemical method. The structure of 1 may be considered coordination polymer of lead(II) and Single crystal X–ray analysis of compound 2reveals that consists of one-dimensional zigzag chains formed by bridging SCN and 4-bpdb ligand. The new nano-structures of coordination polymers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analyses and IR spectroscopy. The size of the samples was about 70 nm and 60 nm for compound 1 and 2, respectively.

OVER THE PAST FEW DECADES, THE CRYSTAL ENGINEERING OF COORDINATION POLYMERS HAS BEEN STUDIED EXTENSIVELY DUE TO THEIR FASCINATING TOPOLOGIES AND POTENTIAL APPLICATION IN DIFFERENT AREAS OF SCIENCE [1]. FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF CRYSTAL ENGINEERING, THE INFLUENCE OF MOLAR-RATIO OF ORGANIC AND METAL TECTON [2] AND SOLVENT SYSTEM [3] ARE AMONG IMPORTANT STRUCTURE-DIRECTING FACTORS. THEREFORE, WE HAVE FOCUSED OUR ATTENTION TO THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT MOLAR-RATIO OF ORGANIC AND METAL TECTON AND ALSO DIFFERENT SOLVENT SYSTEM ON THE TOPOLOGY OF CADMIUM (II) COORDINATION POLYMERS IN THE SELF-ASSEMBLY PROCESS WITH BRIDGING PYRIDINE SCHIFF-BASE LIGAND (L).IN THIS REGARD, WE OBTAINED THREE TOPOLOGICALLY DIFFERENT COORDINATION POLYMERS: [CD2(M-L)3(NO3)4. CH3OH]N (1), [{CD4(M-L)5(NO3)8}{CD3(M-L)3(NO3)6(H2O)2}{L}]N (2), [CD(M-L)( M- NO3)2(C8H10)0.5]N (3) (FIG. 1). WHEN SELF-ASSEMBLY PROCESS OCCURRED IN METHANOL SOLVENT, TWO COORDINATION POLYMERS WITH DIFFERENT TOPOLOGY HAVE BEEN RESULTED BY VARYING MOLAR-RATIO OF ORGANIC AND METAL TECTON. IN COMPOUND (1), INTERPENETRATED 2D STRUCTURAL MOTIF AND IN COMPOUND (2), 3D INTERCALATED STRUCTURE WAS OBTAINED. WHEN WE CHOOSE THE SAME MOLAR-RATIO AS COMPOUND (1) AND MIXTURE OF METHANOL AND O-XYLENE AS SOLVENT SYSTEM, 2D RHOMBIC GRID IN COMPOUND (3) WAS CONSTRUCTED.

NEW NANOSTRUCTURE LEAD(II) COORDINATION POLYMER, [PB(M-BDABPM)(M-BR)2]N [BDABPM = 1,4- BENZENEDIAMINE, N,N'-BIS(3-PYRIDINYLMETHYLENE)], HAS BEEN SYNTHESIZED BY THE REACTION OF A MIXTURE LEAD (II) NITRATE AND KBR WITH BDABPM BY SONOCHEMICAL METHOD. REACTION CONDITIONS, SUCH AS TEMPERATURE, TIME, CONCENTRATION AND INITIAL REAGENTS PLAY IMPORTANT ROLES IN THE SIZE, MORPHOLOGY AND CRYSTAL GROWTH OF THE FINAL PRODUCTS. THE NANO-SIZED PBBR2 AND PBO WERE PREPARED FROM THE CALCINATIONS OF THE NANOPOWDERS (NCP) AT VACUUM AND AIR ATMOSPHERE. THE STRUCTURE OF THE COMPOUND (NCP, NCP = NANO COORDINATION POLYMER) WAS DETERMINED BY X-RAY CRYSTALLOGRAPHY, WHILE NANO-STRUCTURAL MATERIALS WERE CHARACTERIZED BY X-RAY POWDER DIFFRACTION (XRPD) AND SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPY (SEM). THERMAL STABILITY OF BULK AND NANO-SIZED PARTICLES OF NCP WAS STUDIED AND COMPARED WITH EACH OTHER. THE ELEMENTAL ANALYSIS AND IR SPECTRA OF THE NANOPOWDERS AND OF THE SINGLE CRYSTALLINE MATERIAL ARE INDISTINGUISHABLE. THE ORTEP DIAGRAMS AND PACKING OF THE TITLE COMPLEXES ARE SHOWN IN FIG. 1. COMPOUND (NCP) IS TWODIMENSIONAL NEUTRAL METALLOPOLYMER AND CONSISTS OF THE LEAD (II) IONS BRIDGED BY BOTH BDABPM AND BROMIDE LIGANDS, THUS FORMING A TWO-DIMENSIONAL INFINITE FRAMEWORK [1-4].
